HHI: A Pan-India Culinary Presence

When Nawab Maibud Ali Pasha was born, little did his infant brain foresee the much-too-distant future witnessing a tavern highlighting his favorite dish: ‘Murg Qurmay Ki Biryani as its signature dish in a colorful assortment of names of the different food items given – menu! Famous all over India as the HHI, Kolkata, this tavern highlights the Nawab’s favorite dish through its multi-cuisine restaurant called the Kalash – if one were to be poetic, then it would not be incorrect to say that this is a Kalash of mouth-watering preparations among all the hotels in Kolkata.

Time and again, multiple movies have stressed on the importance of using words – they can inflict injury as effectively as they can heal it! Hence, it’s ideal to be accurate in using the words while depicting the splendor of the HHI, Kolkata – it stands today as the premier establishment among all luxury hotels in Pune, Varanasi, Hyderabadi, Bhubaneswar and Bengaluru.

The essence of the earlier paragraph shoulders itself on the fact that Pune is perhaps the city which best speaks of the cultural heritage of the Peshwas. As an ode to their cultural heritage, the HHI, Pune presents a couple of restaurants which have brought back those delicious recipes from the bygone era.

Another striking example that can be given is that of the HHI, Varanasi which brings back the luminescence of the North-West frontier in full view through its restaurant Aangan.

Coming back to the hotels in Kolkata, Kalash presents the delicacies of Hyderabad as well as Mughals in an impeccable manner through a score of dishes – each one better than the previous one.

Therefore, it goes without saying that the HHI group of hotels is a truly unique presence among the prevalent hotel chains in the country due to having brought back the essence of the different dynasties from an era long gone.
